My Hat Store literally began at our kitchen table, as an outgrowth of My Cuban Store. Hi. I'm Alexis Martin. My wife and I created My Cuban Store, in 2002 as our first retail Internet business. My Cuban Store sells Cuban clothing and pre-Castro memorabilia, and originally operated from a small room in my house.

Hats? Who needs hats? Hat usage has been declining since the 1950s. Imagine our surprise when people who bought our guayabera shirts and linen pants started asking us for hats to round out the contemporary look of Miami and South Florida. To keep up with the demand we opened My Hat Store in 2005.

The family business


My Hat Store is very much a family business, employing me, my wife, my father-in-law, and occasionally my kids. In every order, every inquiry, and every phone call our customers deal directly with me or a member of my family. We know that hard work, honesty, dedication, and an unwavering focus on complete customer satisfaction has been the source of our growth. You can count on us to remember that as the customer, you always come first.

Keeping it simple


To help you find the hat that's just right for you, we have guidelines for every face and an elegantly simple sizing chart. We also try to photograph each hat to show off all of its characteristics.

But, occasionally when the hat arrives, its not what you expected. Not to worry, we refuse to allow you to be disappointed. You have a full year to confirm your satisfaction - that's the best return policy in the industry.
